Who Receives The Ride Requests?

Auto Dispatch

Generally, ride requests are sent to drivers based on their ETA to the pickup location ( with one exception of when the dispatcher selects a specific driver in the NEW RIDE panel which will be described at the end of this article).

Each ride is sent to the nearest driver first (the driver with the smallest ETA). The system allocates 30 seconds for this driver to respond. If the driver accepts the ride then the order is booked and the passenger is notified about it. If the first nearest driver doesn’t accept the ride request within 30 seconds, then the request is sent to all available (Shift Status = ON) drivers in the area for another 30 seconds. Each of these drivers either accepts the ride or ignores it. Out of all the ones that accepted the ride, the system chooses the nearest (with the smallest ETA) and assigns the ride to them. At this point, the ride is booked and all parties are notified accordingly.

Dispatching to a Specific Driver

If the dispatcher assigns the ride to the specific driver, then the request is sent to that driver first and the system allocates 30 seconds for the driver to respond.

NOTE THAT
