How to accept mobile (app) payments

In order to be able to accept the mobile payments (card-absent payments via apps), you will need to connect your Braintree account to TaxiTapp platform. If you don't have the Braintree account yet, our integration will guide you through the sign up process.  

 

NOTE THAT 
If you don't complete this step, App payment method (mobile/card-absent) will not appear among the permitted payment methods on your drivers' app.

 

Connecting an existing Braintree account to TaxiTapp

  • Go to COMPANY > GATEWAYS
  • Press on Connect to Braintree button
  • Merchant Connect Flow will open asking you to start the process by logging in to your Braintree account

  • Once you Log In, the system will ask you to authorize TaxiTapp to facilitate transactions for you. This is a necessary step to be able to accept App payments.

  • Press on Agree and Return to TaxiTapp
  • To make sure that your Braintree account was successfully connected to TaxiTapp, check the status next to Braintree on COMPANY > GATEWAYS page. The status should be set to Enabled

  

NOTE THAT 
You can always disconnect your Braintree account from TaxiTapp by pressing on Reset Braintree. You will be able to reconnect the same or a different Braintree account at anytime by going through the exact same flow.

  

Connecting a new Braintree account to TaxiTapp

  • Go to COMPANY > GATEWAYS
  • Press on Connect to Braintree button
  • Merchant Connect Flow will open asking you to start the process by creating your new Braintree account or to Log In.

  • Enter your email address and create the password (please record these credentials, you may need them for your own purposes later)
  • Press on Agree and Create Account
  • On the next step, the system will ask you to fill out your personal information

  • Once done, press on Next Step: Business to proceed.
  • Optional Alternatively, you can press on Finish Later to save your progress and pick up where you left off later.

  • Next, fill out your business information and press on Next Step: Processing

  • Next, fill out processing information and press on Next Step: Delivery
  • For "When do you charge?", select After service is completed

  • For "When do you deliver?", select Within 14 Days

  • Once done, press on Next Step: Funding
  • On this page, you are asked to enter your Bank Routing Number and corresponding Account Number

  • Fill out the banking info and press on Last Step: Authorize
  • At this point, the system will ask you to authorize TaxiTapp to facilitate transactions for you. This is a necessary step to be able to accept App payments.

  • Press on Agree and Return to TaxiTapp
  • This will take you back to your TaxiTapp Admin Panel
  • To make sure that your Braintree account was successfully connected to TaxiTapp, check the status next to Braintree on COMPANY > GATEWAYS page. The status should be set to Enabled 

 

Resuming a Saved Session

  • Go to COMPANY > GATEWAYS
  • Press on Connect to Braintree button
  • Merchant Connect Flow will open asking you to start the process by creating your new Braintree account or to Log In.

  • Once you Log In, the system will display the personal, business, processing, delivery, and funding information entry forms, some or all of which you might have already filled out.
  • Go through these pages, check that all the info is correct and as the last step authorize TaxiTapp to facilitate transactions for you. This is a necessary step to be able to accept App payments.

  • Press on Agree and Return to TaxiTapp
  • To make sure that your Braintree account was successfully connected to TaxiTapp, check the status next to Braintree on COMPANY > GATEWAYS page. The status should be set to Enabled.
